The completion of the lake was commemorated with an open day celebration where the lake was restocked with fish and a plaque dedicated to the memory of the former cemetery proprietor Ramadan H Guney was unveiled.
The Mayor of Woking was in attendance and the lake was blessed by Archimandrite Alexis of the St Edward Brotherhood.
